Venue: Conference Room, ECCI | City: Edinburgh, United Kingdom
Our bi-monthly CCS Group meeting for researchers in our partner institutes.
The year ahead could see major decisions and developments for CCS worldwide, and we'll kick off 2015 with a great programme of speakers. Andrew Gunning of RSKW will discuss the onshore CO₂ transport challenges associated with the UK's two large-scale CCS demonstration projects, White Rose and Peterhead. We'll then hear from Mahmoud Nazeri from Heriot-Watt University about his research into CO₂ transport properties, and how this affects equipment needed for CCS projects. Dr Sarah Hannis, British Geological Survey, will provide an overview of offshore storage monitoring techniques, with a particular focus on Europe and the North Sea. The second half of the meeting will be all about helping you demonstrate and achieve impact with your research, and will feature a talk from Dr Philippa Parmiter followed by a practical workshop. (NB: this was originally planned for the last meeting but was postponed). Register your place using the link below.
